The December gift-giving holidays are right around the corner, specifically Christmas. I know I struggle year-to-year with what gift I’d like to give to my students that will be worthwhile, but not too expensive. I know it is not required to give a gift to your students, but those are “my kids” and I want to spread some holiday joy to them! As I am sure you do, too, or you wouldn’t be reading this now.

So, without further ado, here is a list of holiday gifts to give your students!

1. A book- You can use your Scholastic book club points to get free books or you can purchase low-cost books through Scholastic and get them before the holiday break. You will most likely need to purchase them this week. If you do not have an account, please use my referral code: https://talkable-clubs.scholastic.com/x/IAm53D

2. Playdough-You can purchase a multi-pack to give one out to each student. You could, even, attach a holiday cookie cutter to it, if you’d like.

3. Craft from Oriental Trading- Oriental Trading has many options to choose from for low-cost gifts for students. From card games to puzzles to ornament kits, you’re sure to find something that will delight your students!

4. Whole Class Gift- Sometimes it is fun to wrap a few larger gifts that are for the whole class, such as new indoor recess toys, items for an exciting science experiment, or new STEM materials for center time. Here are a few of my favorites:

5. Make a scarf- You could go to the fabric store and get some fleece fabric to make into scarves for your students. If you have a Cricut, you could personalize them, too. Here is a site with easy-to-follow instructions: https://feltmagnet.com/textiles-sewing/How-to-make-fleece-scarves

6. Fresh School Supplies- You could stock up during back-to-school time buying extra supplies, so that you can give them as a gift later. Crayons, glue sticks, colored pencils, markers, and erasers are all good choices for things that need replaced before the end of the year.

7. Mini-pop toys or other fidgets- These are VERY popular right now and may be beneficial for your students to use during class.

8. A No Homework for a Day Pass- I created a coupon for this and attached it to one of the other gifts and it was a huge hit! Here it is:

Whatever you choose to give your students, they are going to LOVE it! Because it came from YOU and was given with the LOVE that a teacher has for their students!
