Valentine’s Day is a little less than one month away! I have always enjoyed the passing out of valentines in the classroom. Don’t you? Each student popping a sweet little card and, sometimes, treat into each others’ cute, decorated mailboxes puts a smile on my face. Even as a reading interventionist, I still enjoy giving each student a valentine. It’s a little something extra to brighten the day of each student I serve.
I typically go out and purchase valentines, usually while grocery shopping. But there are so many cute free options available to print, that I think I’ll give that route a try this year! Since I’m searching for the best, I thought I’d save you some time and share the results of my searching here, with these FREE Valentine’s Day cards to give to students.
1. Cards from the Paris Corporation
There is more than one card to choose from on this site. I especially like the tic-tac-toe valentine where you add two crayons, so tic-tac-toe can be played with a friend right on the card! You don’t even have to use colored ink. You can print the card on colored cardstock.
2. Valentine printables from Crisp Collective
This site, also, has more than one option for printing. There are a couple good ones to attach either a pop bracelet or a mini-pop keychain! The one where you can attach a small squishie is adorable, too.
3. Printable cards to color from First Tries and Sunny Skies on TPT
If you’re just looking for a card you can print on white cardstock and not add a trinket to it, give this one a try! These valentines have a simple message and a mandala heart for students to color.
4. Cards for teachers of math from The Positive Math Classroom on TPT
These cards gave me a chuckle and your students will probably give them an eye roll! They are math pun cards. You have the option to print in color or black & white. I know how difficult it can be to be able to print in color at school, so any card with a black & white option is always a plus! Ha ha!
5. Word Search Valentine from About A Mom
These would look cuter in color, but you could get away with printing them in black & white. You could use white card stock or a light-colored cardstock, like pink. Since it has a word search on it, you don’t have to attach anything to it. If you wanted to, the author suggests attaching a small pencil to the back for completing the wordsearch. You could, also, use a mini-pen.
6. Maze Valentine from True Life I’m a Teacher
Similar to the word search, are these maze valentines. Again, adding a pencil or pen will add to the valentine, but they’d be fine to pass out without one. To get these for free, you have to sign up with an e-mail address.
7. Cards for PBS kids fans from PBS Kids
These would be great for PreK or Kindergarten classrooms! They have favorite TV characters from PBS, like Daniel Tiger, Pinkalicious, and Arthur. While cute, you would need access to a color printer for these.
8. Star Valentines from It’s Always Autumn
If you’re feeling a little crafty, check out these valentines! After printing, you make a star stamp to dip in paint to put a colorful star on each one. Last, attach a Starburst candy to the star.
Bonus: Cards for Co-Workers from Duck and Cherry on TPT
I stumbled across these on my search. If you’re looking for a fun card to place on a co-worker’s desk or in their mailbox, check these out. With sayings like: I only come to work to hang out with you, and Thank you for never questioning my work ethic. These are sure to brighten your co-worker’s day!
